Thomas Gary - Program Director, Coach
Thomas 'TG' Gary is a well known local sports and community legend.  Graduate of ECHS where he earned several Honors ALL Eastbay / ALL BAY AREA / ALL NORTHERN CALIFORINA.  He's a member of ECHS Hall of Fame Class of 2014. He graduated and played at Contra Costa College where he earned Unanimous ALL Bay Valley Honors.  His extensive 25-year coaching experience includes stints at Contra Costa College, John Sweat HS, De Anza HS, ECYB, Richmond Pony/ Little League Baseball, and several travel teams baseball/softball

Larry Quirico - Baseball Director
Coach Quirico is a local baseball legend. He's been a Head Coach at El Cerrito High (15 years), Contra Costa Community College (12 years) and Diablo Valley College (3 years). He’s won a total of 17 championships at the High School and College level. He’s also trained and instructed at the professional level with the Oakland A’s, Area Code Games, and World All Star Tournaments.  Click here for Coach Quirico's full resume.

Bert Strane - Player Development
Drafted out of High School by the San Francisco Giants, Coach Bert chose instead to play at Santa Clara University.  He was later drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and ended up playing in the Seattle organization.  Bert is a talented and gifted instructor who has spent time working for the esteemed East Cobb Academy of Georgia, one of the premier Travel Ball organizations in the country. 

Bryan Bassette - Coach
Bryan is a former player at Contra Costa College. He's currently the Head Varsity Coach at Oakland Tech.  He's been an assistant coach at Bishop O'Dowd High School and for several travel teams.

Jovan Wright- Coach
A local Richmond product, Jovan was B.S.A.L. All-League Outfielder in 2005 @ Kennedy High School.  He earned a scholarship as a walk-on at Grambling State University in 2007
He he has coached at the High School and Youth levels for the past several years.

Josh Cephas - Coach
A Berkeley High Senior in 2005, Josh was 2nd team all league as a pitcher. In 2009, at Southern Nazarene University, he won 1st team All Conference as a relief pitcher. Josh was drafted by the San Diego Padres where he played in their Minor League system. Josh has been head coach of the Berkeley High JV team as well as the pitching coach for Contra Costa College. 

Daniel Alcaire - Coach
​A former player at D1 Saint Mary's College of CA, Daniel was a also a 4-year varsity player at Salesians High School.  In High School, Daniel was voted first team All-League in 2006 and 2007.  In his senior year he was ranked 32nd in California and 163rd in the country by Perfect Game scouting. 

Michel Rodriguez - Instructor
Born in Havana, Cuba, Michel has played baseball professionally as an outfielder for seven years on two major teams well known in Cuba, named “Industriales” and “Metropolitanos." Michel's specialty is hitting. Michel is a one of the leading hitting instructors in the East Bay working with kids from ages 5 to 18.

Ben Manlove - Instructor
​Ben's a local BHS grad who moved on to become a 4-year starting catcher for Chico State University. His advanced catching skills earned him Second Team All-West Region and CCAA Honorable Mention. In High School Ben was named team MVP as a senior and led the Yellowjackets to the Alameda-Contra Costa League co- championship in 2008.
